Volunteering at Pilgrim
Service is a huge part of the community culture at Pilgrim. We value our students participating in service learning projects, and we require that 7th/8th grade students complete service hours as part of their curriculum. New this school year, each family is asked to complete a minimum of 20 volunteer hours. It's another way for us to live out our commitment to giving back - and to set an example for our children of being compassionate and conscientious members of society.
There are so many ways to get involved - from helping in the classrooms, library, or lunchroom, serving on a committee or the PTL, planning or staffing events, and helping to promote our amazing school! Opportunities exist to fit everyone's talents, interests, and availability.
We'll share more specific details at our upcoming Back-to-School Night on September 5th. In the meantime, please make sure you jot down any time spent volunteering in our school community!
